I grew up in the United States but after a long path that led through Japan and China, I currently live on a mountain in Chile.

I am a lawyer but also have worked many years as an investment banker, helping individuals and companies design strategy and execute strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financing deals, business restructurings and investments.

In my current role I am General Counsel and a member of the Strategy Team at W4 Games, a company that is part of the Godot Engine ecosystem. In this role, I help consider a broad range of strategy and operational issues and handle the firm’s legal affairs. I have been with the team from day 1 and see the company grow every day.

Having helped build businesses and worked for over 20 years in the United States, Chile, Japan and Hong Kong, I have an approach to business which draws on a wide range of experiences, cultural perspectives and market conditions. I have worked on hundreds of professional assignments with a combined value of billions of dollars in more than 20 countries.

Complementing work on business deals, I spend a lot of time writing and have written over 100 books, articles and blog posts in English and Spanish on business, financial and legal topics.  

My wife and I live on a mountain in the Andes. When I am not working or writing, I spend my time practicing kendo, studying languages, and composing music.
